PermanentSenior Proposal Writer required for a major VAR (Value Added Reseller in the West End). Looking for a proven professional with extensive experience putting together proposals to win businessLooking for a Proposal Writer for our client, which is a national VAR (Value Added Reseller)Job Description: The Proposal Writer will utilize his/her professional business writing&communication skills to create targeted response documents to formal customer tenders (RFI/RFP/RFQ) that best position the value, advantages, and benefits of our client. The Proposal Writer will work together with with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Program Management, and Contract Management to secure the support and assistance required to complete the response document.Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Perform proposal due diligence:•Review all documents to determine specific customer requirements•Identification of exceptional business requirements and/or terms&conditions•Research background and leverage past customer responses as required2. Lead the proposal Read-Through meeting:•Preliminary review of the customer tender with the Account owner&key stakeholders•Assist in the determination and development of the overall bid strategy•Identification of NPC responsibilities, action items and activities•Assignment of action items and identification of timelines for completion to other functional teams&subject matter experts (SME)3. Grow the existing network of contacts&relationships with other functional teams to be able to secure their support&assistance as required to complete the response.4. Proposal Response&Document Management:•Creation of the Proposal Shell Document and distribution to the supporting functional teams•Manage the receipt of content from the various functional teams and compilation into one document to ensure consistent format and tone•Identification of issues and escalation as required to resolve•Assist Account owner with the development of the Executive Summary•Distribute updated draft documents for review and edit by the Account owner&key stakeholders5. Proposal Review&Edit•Review all content and provide final edit as required to ensure the response is concise, accurate, and effective•Provide Proposal Specialist with the final customer documents for submission6. Secure 360 Degree Performance Feedback for each opportunity:•Attend post-submission reviews as required•Recommend process improvements based on feedback and reported issues.•Drive efficiencies and share best practices through regular Writer team meetingsSkills required:•Excellent oral&written communication skills in both French&English; Professional writing style.•Proven project management skills.•Proven document management skills.•Proven organizational&time management skills; Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities, and identify / escalate issues as required to achieve objectives on time.•Demonstrated ability in reviewing and editing business proposals; Detail oriented.•Proven ability to establish&grow business relationships at all levels of the organization.•Demonstrated experience leading&working with cross functional teams.•Independent initiative, self-starter, leads by example.•Ability to lead and adapt to organizational changes.•Pro-actively identifies opportunities for improvement, provides recommendations for doing things better, faster, and cheaper, and implements best practices.•Solutions focused and customer oriented.Qualifications required:•Bachelors degree or equivalent; majoring in one of the following: Business, Marketing, Applied Science, Engineering, English, or Journalism.•4 to 6 years experience in a proposal writing / technical writing role.•Previous experience managing RFI/RFP/RFQ responses in a marketing&sales organization.•Knows how to leverage and communicate the selling benefits and advantages of the Group of Companies.•Telecommunications and technology knowledge an asset.•Advanced MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.Proposal Writer
